ISSRE is the premier conference on software reliability engineering. Stefan presented his work on evaluating log parsing in modern software ecosystems. His results show that the state-of-the-art parsers struggle on heterogeneous real-world log datasets. With his novel tool, LogChimera, practitioners are now able to create realistic synthetic log datasets for testing and evaluation by mixing and fuzzing conventional open-source datasets of low heterogeneity to approximate given statistical properties of real-world data.
